「The Da Vinci　Code 」のあとで、これを読みました。基本的なプロットは同じで、「主人公が、思いもかけず事件に巻き込まれる」「次々と襲いかかる危険を、危機一髪ですり抜ける」「パートナーとくっつく」「犯人は味方と思っていた人物」・・・。全然ひねりがないです。出尽くしたサスペンスのパターンを、新しい小道具で目新しく仕立てただけの話。でも、英語自体は読みやすく、アメリカ政府の内情なども出てくるので、暇つぶしにはいいかも。

Anyone whose enjoyed Giorgio Kostantinos' The Quest, will love this book. This book is an amazing compilation of politics, science, and scandals. From the first five pages I was hooked. Books I have read lately have no comparison to the detial and the depth of these two story lines.

Life would be more exciting if I could spend a day like this.

This is Dan Brown's third novel before Da Vinci Code. The author yet again wrote a large-scale intellectual story that this time NASA's astonishing discovery in the Arctic Circle was politically used in the presidential election. The main competing issue of the two presidential candidates is privatization of NASA. As a postal privatization law was enacted in Japan recently, privatization itself is generally regarded as good. But as for NASA that controls space, this novel convincingly tells us that it's a very sensitive issue due to self-defense and security reasons. You'll have more interest about the theme. The story also includes a secret fact of the 1947 Roswell Incident and close relationship between NASA and Hollywood, which made me impressed. The shocking deception that reveals in the middle and the last will definitely astound you.

I have read Dan Brown's 'Angels and Demons' and this book is by far better.. It will keep you in suspense from cover to cover. Again I am recomending this book along with 'Quest' to the masses. The plot has so many twist's that you look at politics in a whole new way. Exceptional work Mr. Brown.
